Agility is an extremely fun sport that builds the teamwork between you and your dog. It forces you to challenge your handling skills and is great mental and physical exercise for you and your dog!
Agility classes have homework just like our obedience classes. Success requires a high understanding of safety and coordination. Our trainers work with you to build a strong foundation so the skills you learn can build into more complex movements.
We want agility to be fun and challenging to you and your dog in safe and appropriate ways.
Agility is a team sport and has big requirements of connection, commitment and consistency.
Agility classes meet for an hour weekly for 6 weeks.
Our Intro to Agility class will work on building a strong relationship through engagement and play. You and your dog will learn the game of agility by working on flatwork, handler focus, targeting, body awareness and much more so that you can be successful at agility.
Foundations are the building blocks of agility. To be successful and safe during agility you must have strong basics and this is what this program focuses on. If you or your dog are new to agility you must take Intro to Agility.
Upcoming Introduction to Agility Programs:
Agility One takes what was learned in intro to agility and applies it to the equipment and short sequencing. We will be adding more equipment to learn as well as learning our 3 basic turns while using equipment. Balancing between handler focus and obstacle focus while distinguishing between collection, extension and what lead we are on.
Upcoming Agility One Programs:
Agility Two takes short sequencing and your handling skills into the next level. We will be focusing on handling techniques and obstacle commitment. Short sequences will be used to work on techniques and focus.

Our trainers really focus on a strong foundation and understanding of agility. We do recommend that you take some courses multiple times as our classes are kept small so we can really support and focus on individual successes. With a solid base of knowledge and skills we minimize the breakdown that occurs when trying to 'move on' to quickly.
We will help you with clear and consistent criteria when working on equipment and handling techniques. You will find a lot of assigned homework during these courses that will help you have fun and enjoy your agility training!
Our trainers are always available for support through email or our private facebook group as well. We love seeing videos and progress updates.
