Information sessions are a great one time commitment to expand your knowledge on specific topics. These sessions are not hands on training sessions - they are lectures so dogs are not allowed to attend as they'll get bored of listening to humans chat! These are knowledge sessions where one of our trainers will share information relating to your chosen session, and answer all your questions. Sessions will cover up to date training methods and science based training techniques that we use in our group and private programs.
Reactivity is a very common behavioral issue. It presents in many different forms including anything from lunging and barking to cowering and hiding. Reactivity is an emotional overreaction to a stimulus. Dogs may be reactive to anything. Commonly reactivity seems to be directed to other dogs and people but it can be to cars, packages, delivery trucks, birds, basically anything. Its behavioral forms commonly show as fear, frustration, over arousal and aggression. This orientation explains why dogs react and what we, as humans, can do to help them and manage the situation.
*This orientation must be attended before joining our Reactive Canine program.

“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen” – Orhan Pamuk
The main communication tool for dogs is body language. Dogs communicate through subtle shifts in their bodies, we as humans often miss these signals or if we do see them, we often misinterpret them. This orientation will help you to understand their language and help you to advocate and be a responsible dog owner.
